MD PBM signs MoU with Telenor Microfinance Bank to improve financial literacy of women graduating from PBM’s Women Empowerment Centers

Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) and Telenor Microfinance Bank becomes partner to improve financial literacy in the women.  A Memorandum of Understanding got inked by Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, Aon Abbas Buppi and President & CEO, Telenor Microfinance Bank Mudassir Aqil for the promotion of financial knowledge in the passed-out women of PBM’s Women Empowerment Centres. Under the agreement, the bank will train the women on the basis of performing various financial transactions thorough digital and conventional channels as well as accessing credit services hassle-free.

Addressing the ceremony, Managing Director PBM, Aon Abbas Buppi said that linking the women through the use of technology can be origin of incredible returns in social and economic development. He termed this initiative a considerable effort to enhance IT related technical skills of women as well as to develop their entrepreneurial capabilities in order to promote their social and economic empowerment.
